An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Chief Nurse team as theLead Nurse Mental Health for UCLH.This postprovides trust widestrategic and operational leadershipatUCLH to ensure the care provided to patients with mental health needs is safe, effective, of a high quality and improves patient experience.
Youwillprovideforward-thinking clinical and professional leadership to supportdelivery of the trust’s mental health strategy and quality priorities.
Working closely withcolleaguesacross the Trust, you will have a particular focus onfivekeys areas: strategic, operational, professional,programme managementand partnership working. You will alsocontribute to the ongoing implementation of thewidertrust strategy and nursing and midwifery priorities.
You will have collaborative leadership skills, a passion for high-quality patient care and a drive to enhance patient outcomes and improve staff experience.

Therolehasfivemaindeliverythemes:
• Strategic:lead thelong-termstrategic direction of mental health services across UCLH, supporting the UCLH mental health strategy groupand quality group to deliver our strategy.Lead the design and delivery of future strategic plans andobjectivesfor mental health across the organisation.
• Operational:ensure robust governance systemsare in place relating to mental health across the organisation, review performance andmonitorimpact, create an operationalframeworkand provideprofessional leadershipto theRMNs in the ETOCTeam.
• Programme management:supported byaprojectmanager, lead arigorous,responsiveand robust programmeof workincluding planning, reporting, managing riskand complexity,witha strong focus on benefits realisationacross the organisation.
• Peoplemanagement:provide professional leadership and supervision for RMNs, lead the developmentof clinical teams in relation to mental health knowledge,skillsand confidence.
• Partnershipworking:effective relationship management and engagement with seniorclinical andnon-clinical stakeholders;developingstrongandcrediblerelationshipswith partner organisationsacross the ICS and wider region.
