We are currently seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our 2-bedded EBD children's home in Doncaster. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the lives of young people in a nurturing, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance. You will also act as a role model and mentor to the team, promoting positive outcomes for the children in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the management of the home in line with Ofsted regulations and standards
Lead, motivate, and support staff to deliver exceptional care
Ensure effective care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices
Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals
Support the Registered Manager with audits, inspections, and team development
What We’re Looking For
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a residential children’s home, preferably with EBD
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards it
Strong leadership and communication skills
A child-centred, resilient, and compassionate approach
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in children's social care
