JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-Time Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am an 11 year old girl living in the Pontypridd area, I live with my Nan and my older brother, and I sadly lost my father a year ago.
I have a diagnoses of global development delay, suggested brain damage, social communication behavioural type problems.
I love to watch my tablet you tube and Jillian and Addie are my favourites.
I can be very affectionate but also can dominate situations to get my own way, so clear and firm boundaries need to be put into practise.
I am very active and need to be doing all the time, I will sometimes need assistance as I am not fully toilet trained and will need encouragement to enter the community independently.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Out in the local community to give my Nan some much needed respite.
RATE(S) OF PAY
£13.50 plus mileage
HOURS OF WORK
6 hours school holidays only
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Going to the park.
Taking me swimming.
Going out for day trips.
Any messy play and activities.
Going out for food.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Someone who is firm and able to set clear boundaries.
A Patient and kind person.
Someone who has experience with learning difficulties would be an advantage.
ABOUT THE JOB
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a four-weekly / monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
Please note: Dewis Centre for Independent Living is acting on behalf of a third party and will not serve as your employer or be liable for any issues arising from your employment should you be offered the position.
