Job Title: Maintenance Person
Location: Durham
Rate: £20 per hour (CIS)
Contract Type: Temporary 3 weeks plus
Working Hours: Monday – Friday
Start Date: Immediate
About the Maintenance Person Role
We are working with a leading provider of student accommodation who are preparing for their next intake of students. They are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Handyman to join their team on a temporary basis to help with essential maintenance and room preparations.
Maintenance Person Key Responsibilities
• Basic plumbing repairs (e.g. fixing toilet flushes and taps)
• Replacing lightbulbs
• Assembling and moving furniture, including mattresses
• Replacing mattresses as needed
• Touch-up painting and room decoration
• Cleaning and preparing rooms for new tenants
• Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues
• Shower head replacement and general minor repairs
• Silo coning tasks
• Supporting the maintenance team with other ad hoc duties
Maintenance Person Requirements
• Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role
• Background in student accommodation, property management, Build to Rent, or hospitality is desirable
• Confident working independently and handling a variety of repair tasks
• Own tools preferred
• Must be available for an immediate start
