The
purpose of this role is to provide support to the sales and administration
team, assisting with a variety of tasks such as data entry, paperwork, and
customer service. The successful candidate will learn valuable skills in
communication, organisation, and IT. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a
fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the potential for long-term career
growth and development.
Main responsibilities
Assist with the processing of sales orders and
invoices
Handle incoming calls and emails from customers,
providing support and answering queries
Maintain accurate records of customer
information and orders
Perform data entry and administrative tasks as
required, such as filing, scanning, and photocopying
Support the sales team with lead generation and
follow-up
Help to organize and coordinate events, such as
trade shows or customer meetings
Participate in training and development
activities to build skills and knowledge
Adhere to health and safety policies and
procedures, ensuring a safe and secure workplace environment
Contribute to a positive team culture
and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve business goals.

Business Admin Level 3 apprenticeship standard
Qualifications required
5 x GCSEs or equivalent qualifications including English and maths at grade 9-4/A*-C.
ICT GCSE will be an advantage.
Skills required
Communication Skills: An apprentice should possess excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal, to be able to interact
effectively with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
Basic Sales Skills: The apprentice should have some
knowledge and understanding of sales techniques, as they will be dealing with
customers and making sales.
Organizational Skills: The apprentice should be organized
and able to manage their time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting
deadlines.
Attention to Detail: They should have a keen eye for detail,
ensuring that all paperwork, data entry and other administrative tasks are
accurate and error-free.
Customer Service Skills: The apprentice should have strong
customer service skills, be friendly, patient and able to work well under
pressure.
IT Skills: An understanding of basic computer software
programs such as Microsoft Office, and experience with email and the internet
is essential.
Teamwork: The apprentice should be a good team player, able
to work effectively with colleagues and contribute to the success of the team.
