As a contracting authority, the council must comply with The Procurement Act 2023 and Regulations and the public procurement law principles of equal treatment, non-discrimination and transparency.andnbsp;Therefore, all third party spend must be undertaken in accordance with the Counciland#39;s constitutionalandnbsp;procurement procedure rules and operating procedures.

Corporate Procurement work in conjunction with service area commissioners to achieve value for money while considering how procurement activity can support community wealth, building principles, sustainability, local economic development, social value and equality and diversity objectives.

The team consists of two areas, Category Management who are responsible for all procurement activity over andpound;10k and eProcurement which supports service areas upon request for sourcing under andpound;10k as well as purchase ordering, low value sourcing, purchase cards, business travel, market engagement and catalogue management.

Role Overviewandnbsp;
Based on experience, the post holder will primarily work on internal and external eProcurement systems. Carry out Market Engagement with local, regional and national suppliers, flexibly supporting our internal and external customers and work with Category Officers/Managers within the team. The post holder will work on Microsoft office applications and be able to work to tight deadlines and agreed timescales.

Key Requirementsandnbsp;
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication, IT, and accuracy skills, along with the ability to analyse and interpret data from various reports and be able to plan and prioritise their own workloads effectively.
