Who we are:

You may not have heard of us, but you’ll know our brands! AS Watson is the world's largest international health and beauty retailer with over 16,800 stores in 29 markets. Each year, over 5.3 billion customers and members shop with our well-known brands, including Superdrug, Kruidvat, Watson’s, Marionnaud, The Perfume Shop, and many more.

A typical day in the role includes:

• Own the end-to-end setup and ongoing optimisation of Google Tag Manager (GTM) across web and app properties.
• Collaborate with development, UX, product, and CRO teams to define and implement robust, scalable tagging solutions aligned to key business goals.
• Support cross-platform, cross-device, and cross-channel tracking initiatives to build a more complete picture of user journeys.
• Build and maintain custom APIs or integrations that support advanced tracking needs across marketing and commercial teams.
• Lead the development and upkeep of data layer specifications and technical documentation to ensure high data integrity and consistent implementation across markets.
• Conduct regular audits, QA testing, and debugging of tags, triggers, and data layer outputs.
• Drive forward mobile app analytics using Firebase and GA4, ensuring consistency between platforms and accurate in-app tracking.
• Provide guidance, training, and documentation to business unit teams to upskill and standardise tracking practices.
• Work closely with Data Governance stakeholders to enforce clean data principles, including naming conventions, versioning, and access controls.

This role would be a good fit if:

• Technically Curious: You enjoy exploring new technologies and are always seeking to improve the quality and scalability of your solutions.
• Detail-Obsessed: You understand the importance of clean, accurate data and leave no stone unturned in ensuring it’s right.
• Collaborative by Nature: You work well with a wide range of teams from developers to marketers and value shared outcomes.
• Outcome-Driven: You focus not just on implementation but on the why behind the data, and how it supports business impact.
• Adaptable & Resourceful: You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are comfortable navigating shifting priorities.

What you'll need:

• Proven experience implementing and maintaining tracking using Google Tag Manager (or similar TMS) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
• Practical experience with Firebase, BigQuery, and mobile app analytics implementations.
• Experience with server-side tagging and evolving tag management best practices is a strong plus.
• Good working knowledge of the Microsoft stack (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.).
• Familiar with GDPR, cookie consent, and privacy-related requirements for digital data collection.
• Experience translating business questions into technical tracking requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple ongoing initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills, able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple functions.

What you'll get from us:

• Competitive salary, benefits, and bonus scheme.
• Discounts for you and your family from some our much-loved retailers, including Superdrug and The Perfume Shop.
• Interest free season ticket and personal loans.
• Excellent refer-a-friend scheme with up to £2000 up for grabs!
• Free financial and mortgage advice from some of our partners.
• A fantastic learning and development offering to explore.
• Lots of opportunities to get involved in wellbeing initiatives to support your physical and mental health.
• …plus much More!
