Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am – 3:45pm
Core Education is currently working with schools in the Warrington area who have requirements for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant.
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers and parents
• Motivate and engage students
• Provide 1:1 support to students with additional learning needs
• Support the teacher to plan innovative and engaging lessons which will meet the needs of children with a variety of abilities
• Work with children's EHCP plans supporting their learning
• Promote learning and personal development of students, adapting learning activities to meet the needs of the children
SEN Teaching Assistant Experience:
• Experience working with students with additional needs such as, ASD, PMLD, Global delay, Downs sydrone or MLD or SLD.
• Be able to demonstrate recent classroom experience and strong behaviour management skills
• Be committed to supporting the children where necessary
• Have previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or relevant experience of working with children
• Working within a SEN school or Primary school setting and be confident in using their initiative
• Qualification within Education is desirable
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will need an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
