Crynodeb
To develop and clinically lead the new Macmillan pathway which has been designed to increase access for patients living cancer in Preston, Chorley and South Cumbria. To lead on the cancer and Macmillan psychology pathways, which includes: overseeing the provision of, and delivering, short-term assessment, formulation and intervention across inpatient and outpatient settings. To provide integrated multidisciplinary care (joint appointments and MDT assessment clinics) across the inpatient and outpatient pathways to patients referred by our MDT colleagues. To train and support MDT colleagues in psychologically informed care through education, teaching and consultation. To provide clinical supervision to the MDT teams and teams working in cancer To routinely undertake research, audit and service evaluation to feed into the Macmillan project. To support with preparing and presenting reports of clinical activity and effectiveness to key stakeholders, Macmillan and the ICB. To contribute to MDT promotion of patient need, clinical symptoms and approaches to care. To contribute to the development of the care pathways (includingdeveloping relationships with key partners within the ICS). To work in consultation and collaboration with psychologist colleagues, MDT colleagues, and key stakeholders. To undertake extended roles and responsibilities within CHPs To work flexibly across CHPs as required and directed by the Head of the Clinical Health Psychology Services. The post holder will be a HCPC registered practitioner psychologist with demonstrable leadership skills and experience at a similar level/grade.
