We have an exciting opportunity for anexperienced,organisedand enthusiastic ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONAL,NURSEor CLINIAL RESEARCH PRACTITIONERto join Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as aSenior(band 6)research practitionerinthe Research and Development Team.
Berkshire Healthcare is one of the most research active Mental Health and Community Trusts in the countryworking on a range of study specialisms including Dementia, Mental Health, Sexual Health, and Physical Health.
Asa senior Research practitionerbased in the trust, you will work alongside the existing team leading and coordinating the delivery of theResearchportfolio. Working clinically with the team you will promotehigh standardsof both patient care and research practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated nurse,AHPor CRP, with management and research experience. You must have effective organisational,communicationaland excellent time management skills. You shoulddemonstratethe ability to manage your own workload and to work as part of a team.
This post is based at University of Reading, Whiteknights Campus, but you willbe requiredto travel as required by the job role and as such a time efficient mode of transportation is essential. Currently the Trust is supportinghybridworking whereappropriate.
WorkPattern:Usually Mon-Fri 9-5 but some flexibility may berequired.
You willbe responsible forassessing and managing the research pathway for patientsparticipatingin Research. This will involveidentifyingsuitable study participants, undertaking study assessments andproceduresand ensuring patient safety by reviewing and recording adverse events.
You should have excellent communication skills, together with the ability to organise and motivate others as welldemonstratingsignificant initiative. You should be able to workautonomously,demonstrateenthusiasm and innovation when faced with challenges and be able to utilise excellent project management, quality improvementand time management skills in conducting the research
The role involves collectingaccuratedata, management of tissue or other biological samples, carrying out clinical assessments, and document generation and control.You willbe requiredto be trained in venepuncture for this roleand akeen eye for detail isrequired.
Working both autonomously and within the Research Team to drive clinical research delivery performancefor Berkshire Healthcare,ensuring research is conducted in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), current legislation and research governancepatientswill besupported to receive research opportunitiesofverystandard.
Flexibility between Mental Health, Dementia and Community based Portfolio studies isrequired.
