We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team.
As part of this role, you will become a Frozen Food Picker joining our cold storage warehouse team. This role is responsible for accurately selecting frozen food products based on customer orders, preparing them for delivery , and ensuring product quality is maintained.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a freezer environment and follows all safety and food handling protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
-Accurately pick frozen food items from shelves or bins according to pick lists
-Verify product codes, quantities, and expiration dates to ensure order accuracy
-Pack and label orders securely for distribution
-Work in a temperature-controlled fridge / freezer environment
-Maintain proper food safety and hygiene standards in handling products
-Ensure accurate stock rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out)
-Replenish picking areas as needed and assist with stock counts
-Report damaged or expired products to supervisors
-Follow all health, safety, and warehouse procedures and protocols
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in a warehouse or cold storage environment is an advantage
-Comfortable working in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods (PPE provided)
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
-Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
-Level 2 Food Safety Qualification is an advantage
