We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our Scaffolding team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various construction sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while adhering to all traffic regulations.
Duties
Operate flatbed lorries to transport Scaffolding materials to designated locations based around the West Midlands area in a timely manner.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed vehicles.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
Physical stamina and strength to handle loading and unloading tasks efficiently.
