To provide the overall vision and technical leadership in the technical topics areas around creating, converting and applying credible energy sources
Responsibilities including winning and leading projects by working pro-actively with the external partners, academics and senior management to deliver technical objectives to time and to budget.
The Chief Engineer will report to the Head of the Power Electronics, Machines and Drives group. The role will work alongside the Head of Theme (Electrification) and be a key interface with wider stakeholders and other Catapult centres in the HVMC network, Connected Places Catapult, the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and the Compound Semi-Conductor Catapult.
The Chief Engineer will possess outstanding strategic, commercial and technical capabilities, with understanding of the key challenges in Energy Technologies and how to develop and apply manufacturing and product related research and product technologies into the field.
