Summary
Car Valeter/Detailer
Are you passionate about cars and take pride in your work? Certa Used Car Sales is looking for a dedicated Car Valeter/Detailer to join our dynamic team!
Key Responsibilities:
* Interior Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and sanitise all interior surfaces, including seats, carpets, dashboards, and windows. Use steam cleaning and upholstery shampooing techniques as required.
* Exterior Detailing: Wash, polish, wax and machine polish vehicles, ensuring a high-quality finish. Clean wheels, tires, and wheel wells to a showroom standard.
* Maintenance Checks: Perform routine inspections of vehicles and report any damages or issues to management.
* Paint Correction: Correct any paint defects where possible by means of smart repair and carry out multiple processes of machine polishing.
* Preparation for Display: Prepare vehicles for customer viewing by ensuring they are clean, polished, and in excellent condition. This includes arranging vehicles in the showroom and on the lot.
* Equipment Operation: Utilise a variety of cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively, including pressure washers, machine polishers, vacuums, and detailing supplies.
* Time Management: Effectively manage your time to meet deadlines, especially during busy periods. Work efficiently without compromising on quality.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Assist in other dealership duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Previous experience in vehicle valeting or detailing is preferred. Familiarity with automotive cleaning products and techniques is a plus.
* Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is essential to ensure high-quality finishes.
* Physical Stamina: This role requires standing for long periods, lifting equipment, and working in various weather conditions. (We do have indoor cleaning bays)
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
