Are you a dynamic and passionate Head Chef looking for your next challenge in a premium contract catering environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new flagship site in the heart of the City of London, working as part of a high-performing culinary team delivering both retail and hospitality services.
The Role
As Head Chef, you'll lead a brigade of 10 chefs, ensuring a seamless operation across both retail food outlets and hospitality services. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you'll be a key player in shaping the food offer, driving innovation, maintaining quality, and nurturing team development in this vibrant, fast-paced setting.
This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone with creativity, strong organisation, and the ability to inspire a team.
What You'll Do:
- Lead day-to-day kitchen operations across both retail and hospitality
- Develop and deliver seasonal, innovative menus aligned with client expectations
- Manage, mentor and support a team of 10 chefs to deliver excellence every day
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef on strategy, menu design and standards
- Uphold the highest food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain budgetary control and minimise food waste
- Ensure consistency and quality across all food offerings
About You:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar high-volume environment
- Strong background in both hospitality and retail catering
- Inspirational team leader with a hands-on approach
- Passion for food innovation and high-quality presentation
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Knowledge of current food trends and dietary requirements
- Experience in contract catering is highly desirable
