The Opportunity:

This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the financial operations underpinning the School’s research and related activities. You will work collaboratively within a dynamic and supportive team, delivering efficient, accurate, and timely finance and administrative services.

The ideal candidate will be confident working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. You will bring excellent organisational skills and proven experience of working with financial systems, complex Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office tools.

We are looking for someone with substantial relevant experience in financial administration, with a sound understanding of financial processes, including budget monitoring and reporting. Experience within a higher education or research-focused environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with the University of Edinburgh’s financial systems, policies, and procedures—and knowledge of financial regulations and best practices—would be a distinct advantage.

Join us and contribute to the success of one of the world’s leading centres of informatics research and innovation.

The post is a full-time, one year post and available immediately.
