Crynodeb
As the successful candidate, you will be delivering foundation and advance ISTAR lessons in both the classroom and Ground Based Training Equipment. You will be expected to deliver instruction on a range of ISTAR topics in support of the trainees moving on to front line ISTAR platforms. Although you will normally take a lead on one element of the syllabus, you will be expected to support instruction across a range of subject matter, including: Navigation, Communications, Basic Electronic Warfare / Electro-Optical Infra-Red / Acoustics; aligned to your previous experience. It is essential for the candidate to be a competent teacher/instructor capable of facilitation and liaising with students including individuals with English as a second language. Competency in using Information Technology is also essential. The successful applicant will have instructional experience in an aviation environment and be skilled in leading, developing and overseeing trainees, whilst working together in a small dedicated team of instructors. They will have excellent communication skills and a proven record of implementing change and continuous improvement strategies. They will be able to analyse and recommend changes to the syllabus where necessary. As part of the Future ISR Rear Crew Training System, the job will be subject to the TUPE process and the incumbent will be transferred to employment under Ascent within MFTS, vesting is currently planned for Q2 27.
