Crynodeb
The appointed candidate is expected to manage polytrauma and general adult trauma procedures at RSCH (Royal Sussex County Hospital) and PRH (Princess Royal Hospital). It is essential that they are able to treat all complex pelvic and acetabular fractures, elderly fragility fractures and have experience in primary and revision arthroplasty. The on-call responsibility for this post will include participation in trauma cover during the week and a 1 in 16 polytrauma on call at the Major Trauma Centre (MTC) and 1 in 8 weekend cover of the fragility fracture list at PRH The post holder will join the team of trauma and pelvic and acetabular surgeons and will be expected to undertake an array of trauma, elective and reconstructive procedures. They will form part of the trauma and arthroplasty MDTs where there is the opportunity for discussing complex case and concomitant learning opportunity.
