Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesnt mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isnt fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. Qualifications and Knowledge Essential: NVQ II in administration subject or relevant experience, skills and knowledge. RSA II typing qualification or equivalent relevant experience. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and database use. Skills and Attributes: Essential Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a challenging environment. Good communication and listening skills. Non-judgemental. Sensitive to issues faced by clients with Mental Health problems. Ability to project a positive image. Ability to transfer IT skills to new applications. Confident in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point. Experience: Essential Previous office experience. Experience of audio typing. Experience of using databases. Other Role Requirements Essential Flexible in approach to work to meet the needs of the service. Ability to travel to any site managed by the Mental Health Directorate in a timely manner.
