Cover Supervisor Location: Essex Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time, Short Term / Long Term Roles Salary: Up to £105 a dayLocal Education are working in partnership with several local secondary schools in the Essex area who have increased need for daily supply staff to assist them with staffing absences. All the schools which we work with have a detailed structure and behaviour management system for you to follow. We support all our day-to-day staff and solely work with schools which we are in partnership with which can support you in your daily tasks. The schools which we work with often have the need to recruit permanent cover supervisors. We have successfully found that several of our cover supervisors have continued into permanent roles and often teaching.
To be suitable for this position you need to:Supervise classes across all Key Stages & Subjects setting pre-set work in the usual teachers absenceSupervising & Assisting students in 1-1 and small groups when not being used to lead a classroomManaging behaviour of all students and following school behaviour policy which will be provided.
To be suitable for this position you need to have:Experience working with secondary school age studentsIdeally have a teaching related qualification, experience in education or degree level qualification.A real passion for education & teachingWe do offer full training.This role is within excellent schools with a consistent staffing team, the schools are very passionate about retaining and furthering their staff.
