Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated health and safety professional to join the health and safety team at The Royal Marsden as a full time Health and Safety Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract. Supporting the Health and Safety Manager, the successful candidate will provide expert advice, guidance and support on Health and Safety matters throughout the organisation. This role is essential for supporting the management and continuous improvement of health and safety practices to provide a safe and healthy workplace for our staff and service users and to foster a positive health and safety culture in the organisation. The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification. Experience in a similar-sized organisation and knowledge of working within a healthcare environment are highly desirable.

Safety Manager to provide expert advice, guidance and support on Health and Safety matters throughout the organisation. This role is essential for supporting the management and continuous improvement of health and safety practices in order to provide a safe and healthy workplace for our staff and service users and to foster a positive health and safety culture in the organisation.

2.1 Provide expert advice, guidance and support to staff at all levels on health and safety matters and arrangements.
2.2 Keep up to date with changes to health and safety legislation and ensuring any changes identified that are relevant to the Trust are raised with the Health and Safety Manager.
2.3 Assist the development of health and safety arrangements within Trust policies and procedures for the purpose of achieving compliance with legislative requirements and safe practice.
2.4 Assist the Health and Safety Manager with undertaking measures needed to ensure the effectiveness of the health and safety management system.
2.5 Support the Health and Safety Manager with a programme of audits and inspections to ensure continuous improvement in health and safety.
