Long Term Futures are working with a high-performing and culturally rich secondary school in Hackney to recruit a Teaching Assistant for September 2025.
This role is perfect for someone with strong subject knowledge, who enjoys working across a variety of lessons and year groups. The school places a big focus on academic catch-up, learning support, and student engagement across KS3 and KS4.
You'll be joining a forward-thinking team who work hard to ensure every student has the support they need to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and in-class support across core and foundation subjects
* Adapt learning materials for students with a range of abilities
* Support learners with SEN, EAL or who are at risk of underachieving
* Promote independence, self-confidence and classroom participation
* Contribute to planning and feedback discussions with teaching staff
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Secondary school or tutoring experience across KS3 and KS4
* A proactive, flexible and confident approach
* Good subject knowledge, especially in English, Maths or Science
* Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
* An interest in pursuing a career in education
