Crynodeb
Job purpose: To work alongside the Arena Manager to provide a prompt and efficient food and beverage service for functions in Arena and Concourse.
Role Competencies:
Planning Timescales:
• Take and respond to instructions by completing tasks on an hour-by-hour basis.
• Work and respond to daily instructions as directed by the business.
• Work with medium supervision.
Decision Making:
• Work within a clear set of guidelines and therefore decision making is controlled and managed.
• Apply things learned on the job and experience to support decision making.
Impact and Influence:
• Be courteous and effective in dealing with customers in order to achieve desired results.
Skill Level:
• Task orientated.
• Ensure events are set up and closedown as per the event plan advised by the management
Communication:
• To communicate effectively and in a timely manner
• Ensure all customers receive excellent customer service for events.
Budget Management:
• Understand own accountability and how own actions effect costs within the business
Lead and Develop:
• To support colleagues where required.
Operating Parameters:
• Operating within own boundaries.
• Working to defined process within given parameters however able to flex role within boundaries
• Applying decision-making discretion as advised by line manager and within parameters
Essential and Desirable Job Criteria:
Essential
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• High level of physical fitness.
• Flexible around working days and hours, including weekends and occasional nights.
• Ability to work in large teams and independently
Desirable
• Events experience in a hotel or large conference venue.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Evidence of working to deadlines.
• Work on own initiative
This job involves heavy lifting and long periods of standing and walking long distances.
