The Role:
Blackpool & The Fylde College is seeking a passionate and driven Programme Leader for English, Maths & Digital Skills for Adults to lead the provision across the Fylde Coast. This role is central to supporting adults—many of whom face significant barriers such as low confidence, digital exclusion, and economic disadvantage—on their journey back into education.

Rated ‘Excellent’ by Ofsted, our adult provision is delivered at college sites including the Seasiders Learning Centre and Fleetwood Hub, as well as in community venues, ensuring learning is accessible and embedded within local neighbourhoods. You’ll be joining a small but high-performing team, with a strong track record of impact, and will play a key role in strengthening community partnerships to shape a curriculum that empowers learners and responds to local needs.

The successful candidate will lead curriculum development, build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, and take responsibility for driving quality, achievement, and learner outcomes across the provision.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
As Programme Leader, you will take ownership of the planning, coordination, and delivery of English, Maths, and Digital Skills for adult learners. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and relevance of the curriculum and driving student success. Your key duties will include:

Leading and managing the curriculum area, including programme planning, recruitment, and quality improvement.
Delivering inclusive, high-standard teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
Designing, developing, and evaluating curriculum content to meet a range of learner needs.
Monitoring key quality indicators including attendance, retention, achievement, and learner progression.
Supporting student engagement and recruitment activities, including interviews, Open Days, and guidance events.
Contributing to the academic community through scholarship, research, and professional practice.
Why Join Us?
At B&FC, you’ll be part of a collaborative, ambitious, and supportive environment dedicated to transforming lives through education. This role provides an excellent platform for leadership development, innovation in teaching, and making a meaningful impact on adult learners.
