The Haematology Myeloma service is seeking to recruit a dynamic forward-thinking individual with extensive experience in Myeloma. The Lead Myeloma Specialist Nurse has to have exceptional organisation skills, astute problem-solving with excellent communication skills.
The candidate is to act as the clinical expert and professional resource to the patient/carer and multi-professional team. They are to be responsible for the day to day management of the Myeloma service and patient caseload as designated, ensuring the nursing care is delivered to a high standard utilising research in collaboration with colleagues in everyday practice.
Act as a role-model providing clinical leadership to support the development and delivery of a programme of practice and professional development of staff within the speciality. The lead nurse will be responsible for education, training and practice development along with clinical governance audit and research. Ensuring patient safety and risk management.
The post holder is required to work autonomously in nurse led clinics. They will have clinical responsibilities and provide specialist knowledge care and support to patients diagnosed with a myeloma. For further information please see the Job Description attached.
