Jane Austen College is seeking an organised, reliable and responsible team member with excellent initiative for the role of Exams Officer.
The main responsibility of this role will be:
- To ensure efficient and effective arrangements for internal and external examinations that take place at the Academy.
- To meet the requirements of examination boards/Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and the needs of the candidates.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good basic level of education preferably including GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Sound experience of development, management and operation of organisational and administrative procedures surrounding internal and external exams.
- Experience and up to date knowledge of JCQ and examination board regulations and routines
- The ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
- The ability to build good working relationships with teaching and non-teaching staff and students and build and retain the confidence of the academy.
Jane Austen College is a school with a unique and exciting history. Set up in 2014 as a flagship free school for the Inspiration Trust, with a specialism in English and Humanities. The college has grown from two-year groups through to a full 11-18 school of over 1000 students.
