About the role of Architectural Technician

Our client, nationally recognised as one of the UK's leading specialists in large scale new residential property build projects are seeking an expertly skilled architectural technician. Embracing an ever-growing diverse work culture whilst leading the way in a competitive market you will be required to play a pivotal role in coordinating drawings in line with regulations & specification changes whilst maintaining the high-quality build standards that they are renowned for. You will play a key role in supporting the design & delivery of residential developments, working closely with the planning, technical and construction teams.

The Ideal candidate should possess proficiency in using AutoCAD, great communication and co-ordination skills and be immediately available to start. With a strong presence in the East Anglia region you will be based in the Bury-St-Edmund's office 5 days a week on a Freelance basis. You will be required to focus on multiple projects consisting of traditional build and timber frame developments.

Key tasks you will have to undertake will include…

  • Prepare and amend detailed construction drawings and house type working drawings
  • Co-ordinate architectural information with consultants and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations and client design standards
  • Resolve technical issues that arise
  • Support the delivery of projects through to build stages
  • Assist with the preparation of planning application packages

This role includes a Freelance contract proposed and an extremely competitive daily rate offered depending on experience.
