We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dependable individual to join our team as a 'Driver, Furniture Removal Porter'. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients’ possessions are handled with care and professionalism during each move.

Key Responsibilities:
- Laying protective floor coverings.
- Wrapping and protecting furniture.
- Dismantling and reassembling items.
- Lifting and stacking furniture safely in vehicles.
- Driving a 3.5t Luton van (standard licence).
- Assisting with stock control, vehicle maintenance, and general housekeeping.

Essential Requirements:
Driving Duties:
- Held a full UK driving licence for at least 5 years (maximum 3 points).
- Willing to undertake an internal driving assessment.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and UK driving laws.

Porter Duties:
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.
- Friendly, polite, and well-presented.
- Able to work calmly in a fast-paced, varied environment.
- A strong team player with a professional attitude.
- Committed to excellent customer service and safe manual handling.

Additional Information:
- You will be provided with a full uniform, which must be worn at all times.
- Employment is part-time, with the potential to move to a permanent position.
- The role includes a 6-month probation period.
- Some overnight travel may be required, with accommodation arranged in advance.
- References from two previous employers and a DBS check will be required.

Working Hours:
- Typically Monday to Friday, starting around 07:30 and finishing by 17:30.
- Weekend work may be required, particularly Fridays and Saturdays during peak periods.
- Expected hours range between 10 – 60 per week, depending on workload.
Pay and Benefits
- £12.50 – £13.00 per hour depending on experience.
- Performance bonuses and customer tips.
- On-site parking.

Location:
You must be able to reliably commute to our depot at NE34 9PE or plan to relocate before starting work.
