Crynodeb

Millfield School is seeking a creative and energetic Performance Tennis Coach to deliver first-class coaching & competition programmes for county, regional and national level tennis players.

Millfield Tennis has a rich history of success from the schools’ arena to the development of international players. We are currently within the LTA Performance Network with a growing reputation of delivering a High-Performance Tennis Programme. We have outstanding indoor and outdoor facilities, and an integrated programme of player scholarships, education and support.

The Performance Tennis Coach will integrate into a fully engaged team of coaches with a common goal of giving each pupil the best opportunity to exit Millfield School into a top-level UK/US University or with tennis as a valuable life experience. Lifestyle management and the development of the pupil are central to our philosophy. The Performance Tennis Coach will lead the coaching and planning for Squad sessions and Individual players, be responsible for the planning and delivery of competitive schedules and provide parent feedback within their role.

The successful candidate will be an LTA accredited Level 3 Senior Performance Coach (or in the process of completing) and will have a proven track record in the long-term development of reginal/national/international level tennis players. We are a mixed school and therefore the role would include coaching girls and boys.

The role involves an average of 42 hours per week, worked across Monday to Saturday during term time, with an additional four weeks to be worked during non-term time – amounting to a total of 36.6 working weeks per year.

You will receive a salary of £26,000 per annum (inclusive of statutory holiday pay), based on a full time equivalent of £33,041.53 per annum. In addition, you will enjoy a wide range of staff benefits, including freshly prepared lunches for just £10 per month, investment in your professional and personal development, access to the school facilities and discounts/cashback on high street shops and restaurants through the school’s Employee Assistance Programme.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work in one of the UK’s leading sporting environments among a vibrant team of multisport coaches.

Application closing date: Noon, 19th August.
