Summary
About the Role:
We are a leading UK-based tech and telecom company seeking a highly skilled UI Designer with a strong background in UI/UX design and project/team management. You will work closely with product managers and backend engineers to create modern, intuitive, and responsive front-end experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Create intuitive UI/UX wireframes and prototypes using tools like Figma
Design and implement high-quality, reusable, and scalable UI components using React.js (v16+ or latest).
Lead front-end architecture decisions and advocate for best practices in performance, security, and maintainability.
Collaborate with design and product teams to translate wireframes and visual designs into functional UI.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability across browsers and devices.
Drive the adoption of modern development workflows including CI/CD, testing strategies, and code reviews.
Manage a team of developers and mentor junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of UI standards.
Work with RESTful APIs and state management solutions (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or Context API).
Stay current with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Well versed Agile scrum methodologies using tools like Jira / Rally / Microsoft Visual studio online
3+ years of professional front-end development experience, including 3+ years of React.js.
Proficient in JavaScript, ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3 (including SASS, LESS, and styled-components).
Experience with unit testing and front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
Familiarity with build tools like Webpack, Vite, Babel, or similar.
Experience with Git and agile development processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong Coding
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience with TypeScript.
Familiarity with Next.js or other SSR frameworks.
Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and performance optimization techniques.
Prior experience working with design systems or component libraries (e.g., Material-UI, Chakra UI).
