PLEASE NOTE: This role requires DV clearance. The candidate will have to be a UK citizen with 10 year's work history in the UK. The clearance can take up to 12 months to complete before the candidate is able to start.
Join Mitie's Facilities Management team and help us create safe, productive, and dynamic workplaces across the UK. We're looking for a proactive and multi-skilled Workplace Operative to support day-to-day operations at our Bristol site. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
-Front of House Services:
-Welcome and direct staff and visitors
-Issue and collect passes and keys
-Provide general site information and support
-Maintenance Support:
-Assist with minor repairs (e.g. blocked drains, replacing lightbulbs, basic plumbing)
-Carry out painting and decorating tasks
-Support the maintenance team with reactive and planned tasks
-Portering & Logistics:
-Set up meeting rooms and event spaces (furniture, IT equipment)
-Manage internal mail collection and delivery
-Move and handle goods and equipment safely
-Cleaning & Hygiene:
-Provide cover for cleaning staff during absences
-Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the site
What We're Looking For
-Proven experience in a facilities, maintenance, or handy-person role
-Basic skills in plumbing, painting, electrical, and general repairs
-Strong customer service skills and experience in a front-facing role
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
-Basic IT literacy and good communication skills
-Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends when required
