East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) ensures the best possible quality of life and makes every moment count for children and families across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies, care at end of life, bereavement support, counselling and volunteer services in the family home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.
In 2020, all three of our hospices; The Nook (Norfolk), The Treehouse (Ipswich) and Milton (Cambridge) were rated OUTSTANDING by the Care Quality Commission.
Our people are central to our success. We have a talented workforce of staff and volunteers in Care, Fundraising, Retail, Facilities, IT, Finance, Marketing & Communications and Human Resources.
We’re over 440 employees strong, with a team of more than 2,000 volunteers across the organisation including over 50 shops and a Retail Distribution Centre.

Salary: £12.31 per hour
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) is seeking a compassionate and reliable Bank Housekeeper to join our team at Treehouse Hospice. This is a flexible, hours as-required position, cleaning all areas of the hospice from the Care floor to office areas - ideal for someone who values work-life balance and wants to contribute to a meaningful cause.
The role:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospice
Support laundry services including washing, drying, and ironing
Ensure safe use and storage of cleaning materials in line with C.O.S.H.H. regulations
Work collaboratively with the Facilities Site Manager and wider care team
Occasionally supervise volunteers and support a welcoming environment for families
Are you:
Welcoming and professional in your approach
Happy to work on your own and as part of a team
Flexible to work weekends
Good at adapting to change possibly at short notice
Methodical in your approach to work and think ahead
Do you have:
Experience in housekeeping or cleaning
A high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
A caring, respectful approach to working in a sensitive environment
The ability to meet the physical demands of the role
