Home working is essential along with regular site visits and day and evening meetings held in the current Village Hall. The selected candidate will be expected to have a visible presence in the village.
This role will report directly to the GCDA Chair.

Glenbarr Community Development Association (GCDA) is looking for an experienced, dynamic Programme Manager to oversee the Implementation and sustainable development of various approved community capital projects at different stages within its rolling five year Delivery Plan Further details can be found on the GCDA web site https://www.glenbarr.org.uk
The immediate priority is to work with our team of assigned consultants to successfully deliver the community woodland management plan, landscaping and small car park provision within Dal an Duie field (subject to planning approval) and urgent repair works approved for the stabilisation of the Glenbarr Doocot.

This role will report directly to the GCDA Chair and provide regular update reports to the GCDA Board of Trustees as required.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Programme and Project Management:
Leading and managing the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of approved community projects. - Team Leadership:
Motivating and guiding small part-time executive team, external consultants, GCDA Working Groups and local community volunteers; fostering a collaborative environment; and ensuring effective communication with the Board and a wide range of stakeholders in partnership with the GCDA communications manager. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including local residents. community groups, and external partners. - Contract Management
Managing and co-ordinating works of appointed contractors following tender process/selection. - Financial Management in association with the GCDA Treasurer & Accountants
Overseeing programme and project budgets, updating the 5 Year Plan, contributing to the GCDA annual report and accounts for OSCR, reporting quarterly to the Board, ensuring financial accountability, and identifying grant/other funding opportunities. - Risk Management:
Identifying and mitigating potential risks to programme and /or project delivery, developing contingency plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant GCDA and Charity Regulator policies and procedures. - Performance Monitoring:
Tracking project progress, evaluating outcomes, and reporting on performance at regular intervals to the Board. - Strategic Planning:
Contributing to the ongoing development of GCDA’s long-term strategic plans for the organization, aligning projects with overall sustainability goals and objectives. - Communication:
Providing regular updates to the Board, partners and stakeholders on achievements, and challenges. Review effectiveness of the annual Digital Engagement Plan following discussion with the GCDA Communications Manager and contribute topic items, as appropriate. - Governance
Setting Board and AGM Agendas in association with the GCDA Chair, arranging Board training and support services, and liaising with Admin Support and Treasurer re Board meeting arrangements
Keeping abreast of OSCR regulations and guidance and ensuring that the GCDA meets all necessary requirements at all levels.
