As the Temporary Staffing Lead on Agenda for Change, you will be key to us continuing our journey in reducing agency and bank utilisation and spend across this workforce to exceed NHSE targets.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with individual units and managers at all of our Trust locations, both face to face and via Teams meetings, building your knowledge and understanding on patient acuity, staffing ratios and roster utilisation.
You'll deliver a customer-focused, high quality, responsive and comprehensive service for the Trust, providing advice to staff, managers and suppliers on the internal and external processes relating to Temporary Staffing. Working with the Managed Service Providers, you'll drive improvements and support the organisation to maximise the service levels required to staff the patient service needs. You'll also have responsibility for the day to day supervision of our Temporary Staffing Administrators.

The role is based on-site at our Littlemore Mental Health Centre with some flexibility to work from home. You'll also be working at other locations across our Trust therefore the ability to travel independently between sites is essential for this role.
Main duties of the job- Attend operational meetings to assess the temporary staffing needs with service users on a regular basis.
- Deal with any first line correspondence in relation to temporary staff
- Provide excellent customer service to temporary staff and suppliers to assist with the smooth running of the service in terms of resolving problems and processing payments etc.
- Actively seek out opportunities to promote the activity and develop the temporary staffing function, working with both NHS Professionals, IDM, and service users to secure essential fill at the lowest rates possible.
- In association with the Head of Temporary Staffing, manage and review Managed Service Provider contracts or equivalents on a regular basis to ensure they are delivering the objectives of the Trust and provide value for money.

Person specification Knowledge Essential criteria- Excellent range of communication skills and good interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge / understanding of temporary staffing services
- Previous experience working in a temporary staffing team function
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders
- Strong experience of working in a busy customer care environment undertaking a full range of administrative duties within a complex organisation
- A strong customer focus
- Able to build collaborative working relationships
- Ability to use initiative and have a positive approach to problem solving including the confidence to propose options and solutions
