Crynodeb
The post holder is expected to attend a minimum of three theatre sessions per week and one or two out-patient clinics per week. The out of hour on call vascular cover will be provided by the successful candidate as a non-resident 1:6 rota. This is a separate rota from general surgery. Vascular Surgeons have also access to a weekly interventional radiology list. This will be the perfect opportunity for vascular trainees to expand their endovascular experience. As part of the role you will have assigned clinical education, admin & SPA time. The post holder will share in administrative duties allocated by mutual agreement within the Directorate and will observe and comply with clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures (including local and national employment and personnel policies) agreed with employees and management. The post holder will be closely involved in clinical audit and other clinical governance issues. So far as is consistent with the proper discharge of the above duties, the post-holder undertakes to deputise from time to time for absent colleagues, and exceptionally to perform additional duties in emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.
