Our client is supporting an Outstanding day and residential special school for boys aged 10-16 with a range of needs, including ADHD, autism, and challenging behaviour. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-time Residential Child Care Worker to join their team in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for the young people in our client's care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans that promote the social, emotional, and educational development of each child.

Key responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day care and support to the young people in the residential setting
- Creating a positive and inclusive environment that fosters growth and development
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of therapeutic activities and interventions
- Collaborating with education staff to ensure a consistent approach to each child's care and learning
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with the young people, their families, and external professionals
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 1 year's experience working with children or young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- A relevant qualification in child care, social work, or a related field (desirable)
- A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Resilience, empathy, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people

Our client offers a competitive salary of £24,405 - £25,430 per year, with additional benefits including a 33% night shift enhancement added to your base salary.
