We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Disabilities Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to individuals with learning disabilities in a range of settings, including in their own homes, day centers, and community-based services.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing person-centered support to individuals with learning disabilities in all aspects of their daily lives, including personal care, communication, social interaction, and leisure activities.
Supporting individuals to develop life skills and achieve their personal goals.
Promoting independence and choice, while respecting the individual’s rights and dignity.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of support provided, ensuring confidentiality and data protection at all times.
Communicating effectively with other team members, families, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for individuals.
Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures, including administering medication and dealing with emergency situations.
Requirements:

Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities in a similar role is desirable.
A compassionate and caring nature with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals and their families.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
An understanding of person-centered approaches and a commitment to promoting the rights and choices of individuals with learning disabilities.
A flexible approach to work, including the ability to work shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
A relevant qualification, such as an NVQ in Health and Social Care, is desirable but not essential.
