Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Worcester City
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
This role involves overnight support.
About the employer:
Our client is a 40-year-old female living in Worcester City who is looking to recruit Personal Assistants to join their team to provide support during the day and night.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Attend medical appointments if required
Support to access the local community & activities of client’s choice
Personal care: Support with all aspects of personal care. Hoist to be used on all transfers. Support with administering medication.
Domestic duties: Support with making food and drinks. Maintaining a clean and tidy home environment and completing household duties.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: Someone with previous care & support worker experience.
Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work:
• Friday Sleep-in 10pm-8am
• Saturday 8am-10pm & Saturday Sleep-in 10pm-8am
• Sunday 8am-10 & Sunday Sleep-in 10pm-8am
Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour + £40 per sleep-in
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Previous care & support worker experience
confidentiality
good at building relationships
good communicator
a good listener
ability to support people with complex care & support needs.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
