Crynodeb

To assist in the preparation of patients for all Imaging examinations. Transport/escort patients to and from all wards and departments to the Imaging Department, including patient notes and samples. Work will normally be given in an order to be completed, however use of initiative will be required. e.g. on attending a ward to collect a patient who is not ready, review other patients who can be transported next. Liaise with Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and other Imaging Assistants as to daily work schedule for patient transfers. A more senior team member will always be available to provide advice. Assist in the movement of patients onto and from X-ray, CT and Ultrasound tables when required. To undertake the movement of Ultrasound and mobile X-ray machines. To use safely and take care of equipment e.g. Cleaning of Trolleys and wheelchairs. To report faulty equipment to supervising staff.
