Jade Insulation Ltd are an industrial insulation contracting company, working in the utilities sector / chemical pharma / energy from waste.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Apprentice to join our Project Management and Estimating team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects and is looking to develop practical skills while gaining hands-on experience.

Would be looking for a technical apprentice to aid with site planning, site surveys, measuring for materials, requisition materials, estimating, MS 365 Suite.

Project Management Support
• Assist in the development and updating of project plans, schedules, and reports
• Review and provide feedback on a project business case to ensure the project remains valid.
• Help monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets
• Deliver a Quality Management Plan which contributes to quality control processes.
• Support site visits, team meetings, and stakeholder communications
• Track and document project milestones, risks, and issues
• Maintain and manage construction sites and subcontractors

Estimating Support
• Work alongside the estimating team to prepare cost estimates and bids
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Maintain estimating databases and support cost analysis
Administrative and Technical Duties
• Prepare and organise documentation for tenders and projects
• Help manage project documentation in line with company standards
• Use project management and estimating software tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, or specialised estimating software)
• Learn and follow industry best practices and company procedures
• Create Applications for invoicing in a timely manner as per sub-contract
• Use an organisation’s continual improvement process, including lessons learned, to improve performance.

Desired Skills and Personal qualities:
Willing to learn, understanding of measuring and quantifying, customers focused and team player. Driving Licence desired but not essential.

Working Week:
Monday-Thursday 7.30 - 16.00 Friday 7.30-14.30 (38.5 hours per week)

21 days holiday plus bank holidays
3% pension contribution

Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete Associate Project Manager Level 4 Apprenticeship.
