To Install Fireplaces in a team of 2
Qualified Gas Engineer – Fireplace Installer
Location: Fulham (Office) – London and Surrounding areas for installations
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Installation Manager / Operations Manager
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Gas Engineer to join our team as a Fireplace Installer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of gas fireplaces and related heating appliances in residential and commercial properties. This role requires high attention to detail, excellent customer service, and full compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install a range of gas fireplaces, stoves, and surrounds in domestic and commercial settings.
Conduct pre-installation surveys and risk assessments to ensure feasibility and safety.
Carry out gas pipework alterations and connections in accordance with Gas Safe regulations.
Test and commission installed appliances, ensuring correct operation and compliance.
Identify and resolve installation issues on-site in a professional and timely manner.
Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to customers on appliance use and care.
Complete all installation documentation and ensure records are accurately maintained.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if provided) to a high standard.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
Current Gas Safe Registration Certified
Knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant health & safety standards.
Desirable:
HETAS qualification (for solid fuel installations).
Experience in stone, marble, or wood fireplace surround installation.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Gas Installation or Plumbing.

Excellent customer service and communication.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional attitude with a commitment to safety and quality.
Good time management and organisational abilities.
Working Conditions:
Working in customers' homes and premises
