Rate of pay £14.10 per hour Monday-Friday and £14.50 per hour Saturday-Sunday.
Numada Healthcare Limited is an independent care company providing nursing and residential care to older persons with the aim to support them to maintain their independence and continue to live their lives the way they chose. We provide care and support to adults over the age of 18 and pride ourselves in delivering high quality care.
About the role:
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and companionship to our clients in their homes. You will help them maintain their independence and quality of life by providing personal care, medication assistance, and help with household tasks.
Morning and evening shifts (7am – 10pm split shifts).
You will be required to work alternative weekends.
Responsibilities:
· Providing personal care (washing, dressing, bathing, oral care, continence care, etc.)
· Supporting medication administration and monitoring as prescribed by a GP
· Assisting with light domestic tasks such as laundry, meal prep, cleaning, and tidying
· Preparing meals or assisting with meal planning and dietary requirements
· Encouraging and supporting clients to maintain independence in their daily routines
· Promptly reporting any concerns or changes in client needs or behaviour to the office
· Accurate recording of care provided in daily logs and care plans
· Ensuring punctuality and staying the full allocated time for each care visit
· Using initiative to offer additional support within the care time, such as washing up, laundry, or general tidying when personal care is completed early
· Signing in and out accurately in the client’s daily notes for each visit
· Respecting client confidentiality, including safe storage and handling of door codes and personal information
· Maintaining professional and compassionate communication with clients and colleagues
· Attending mandatory training and regular team meetings as required by the manager
· Adhering to GDPR, Health & Safety at Work Act, and company safeguarding policies
Requirements:
· The right to work in the UK
· A caring and compassionate nature
· Flexibility and punctuality
· Good verbal and written communication
· Willingness to attend mandatory training sessions
· Full UK driving licence and own car or cycling and own bicycle
· NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it) (desirable)
· Previous experience in domiciliary/home care (desirable)
