About the role:
The University of Lancashire wishes to recruit a part time term time Customer Service Attendants within the Library Service. You will be responsible for providing a welcoming and safe environment for all our users and visitors and providing an attendant role. This role is 11am to 6 pm Monday to Friday.
About you:
The successful candidate will focus on our reception service but will be supporting students to make the very best of their time at the University by provide a high level, effective customer support service, covering in-person queries, as well as those received via email or over the phone you will also provide a rapid response to incidents and emergencies and evacuations in accordance with Standard Operational Procedures and policies
Applicants will hold 5 GCSE’s or equivalent qualification or significant, relevant professional experience or experiential learning.
You will patrol the building and ensure that the library is secure, and welcoming environment to all customers. Be proactive in communicating Library rules particularly in relation to noise, use of study rooms and hot food. You will also be responsibly in helping keep the building tidy and clean.
You will need to be fit and active as this role will also require you to help with the continual movement of library stock which includes helping with our self service machine and shelving items and occasional helping with the step up of areas for events.
Interviews will be held week commencing 18th August.
