* Shift is 07:30 -17:00 1 hour break (Monday -Friday) *
* Every other Saturday 07:00 -12:00 no Break**
unlimited overtime available including extra Saturdays
Class 2 Driver Cover Role
Job Purpose:
As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will provide a safe, compliant, reliable and effective delivery and collection service for the Company and our Customers. you will also be expected to drive 7.5T and 3.5T vehicles as and when necessary , loading and unloading of your own and other vehicles is also part of the role there is a stock team to assist with this.
Job Responsibilities:
· Carry out deliveries and collections to our internal and external customers in a professional manner
· Drive the company vehicle safely and responsibly; obeying the traffic laws and highway code at all times
· Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks ensuring any defects found are reported to the Transport Manager
· Keep an accurate record of deliveries and collections using PDA and delivery documentation
· Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all aspects of the working day
· Ensure that any equipment on the vehicle is secured and protected where necessary
· Maintain product knowledge in order to demonstrate equipment to customers where necessary
· Willingness to help out in different departments as and when required
· Represent the company and values ("HSSness") of the business and portray a professional and businesslike image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work.
· Be a key driver in serious about safety by leading from the front
· Ensure all locations and company vehicles are maintained to our 360? brand
· Carry out other tasks and duties as required/Essential
· Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required:
· Must hold a Category C (Class 2) licence no experience necessary
· Full Driver CPC
· Must hold a Digital Tachograph card
· Exceptional customer service experience
· Have an understanding of safe loading and towing processes
· Understanding of the transportation of hazardous goods
· Manual handling awareness·
· Product knowledge including powered access range / access range preferred
· Multi-drop delivery experience
