Cargo Agent at Belfast International Airport Required!

The Best Connection are currently recruiting Cargo Agent / X-ray screeners to work for one of our clients based at Belfast International Airport in Crumlin. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a global leader in logistics, distribution and supply chain management, with full Aviation and X-ray Training provided.

• Pay for a Cargo Agent: - 12.21ph (08:00-20:00) - 13.20 (20:00-08:00)
• Duration: Ongoing
• Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 05.00 to 09.00
• Location: Belfast International Airport

Requirements of a Cargo Agent :

• Apply for a Criminal Record Check (Paid for by us!)
• Have a full 5-year checkable history (Obtained for you by us!)
• Have an in date and valid Photographic ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card etc)
• Provide a full 5-year address history
• Attend an Aviation Security Course (Paid for by us!)

Role of a Cargo Agent :

• Trained to air side standards
• Labelling Parcels
• Scanning Parcels
• Uploading information on to a Computer
• Lifting and Moving Parcels (may be up to 10kg in certain areas)
• Physical Inspection of Cargo
• Operation of x-ray machines
• Responsible for using x-ray machines to identify dangerous objects in cargo and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft
• Maintain focus and awareness within an environment containing numerous distractions, people and noise
• Work within a demanding environment in Logistics distribution and supply chain; time critical and the requirement to identify and locate potentially life-threatening devices and devices intended on creating massive destruction
• Make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations
