We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Full-time Tutor to join our client's team in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. As a leading education provider in the area, our client is committed to delivering high-quality Tutoring services to students of all ages and abilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Tutoring sessions, tailored to the individual needs of each student. You will work closely with students to identify their strengths and weaknesses, develop personalised learning plans, and monitor their progress over time.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong academic background, with expertise in one or more subject areas. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Planning and delivering Tutoring sessions in line with the national curriculum and student needs
- Assessing student progress and providing regular feedback to students and parents
- Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievement
- Collaborating with other Tutors and education professionals to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to learning
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A degree in a relevant subject area (English, Maths, Science)
- Previous experience as a Tutor or teacher, ideally within a similar setting
- A deep understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- A passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential
