About the Role:

We are working with a well-established and growing family-run accountancy practice in Coventry who are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who has built their career within a practice environment, and is looking for a long-term, stable position with real client ownership and partner support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and finalisation of statutory accounts for a variety of clients

• Completion and submission of self-assessment and corporation tax returns

• Strong working knowledge of Accounts and Tax principles

• Direct client liaison - including meetings, phone calls, and email correspondence

• Providing proactive support to the partner and assisting with client queries

• Handling a portfolio of clients independently with minimal supervision

• Reviewing junior staff work and assisting with their development

• Keeping up to date with accounting standards and compliance requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience within an accountancy practice is essential

• ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or QBE with strong technical knowledge

• Confident in managing a varied portfolio of clients

• Experience using accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, IRIS etc.)

• Strong understanding of personal and corporate tax

• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

• Proactive, professional, and client-focused approach
