Excited to be supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Worcestershire, we are seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their dedicated and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant or experienced finance professional looking to build a long-term career within practice.
About the Practice:
This South Birmingham-based firm delivers tailored accountancy, tax, and business advisory services to a varied client base including sole traders, partnerships, and SMEs. The team is friendly, down-to-earth, and values building strong, lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Supporting clients with bookkeeping duties and cloud accounting software
• Assisting in the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
• Managing and maintaining client relationships with professionalism and care
• Supporting senior accountants and partners on ad hoc tasks and projects
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients where necessary
Candidate Requirements:
• AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified or working towards this qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice
• Confident using cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
• Able to manage workload effectively and work both independently and as part of a team
