Crynodeb
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and innovative environment, contributing to the advancement of imaging services in Urology and Gynaecology. We perform approximately 2200 MRI Prostate and 2600 MRI pelvis for gynaecology, about 8800 CT scans for urology, 8600 urinary tract ultrasound and 12000 ultrasound pelvis per year. The ultrasound service is predominantly sonographer laden and radiologists have a few ultrasound sessions. These numbers prove the importance of radiology services we provide to our patients for urology and gynaecology imaging. The role also involves active participation in the Fast-Track Diagnostic Services (FDS) pathways, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to streamline patient diagnosis and management. There is on-call service for general radiology and is consultant led, and the on-call consultant is expected to report urgent AE and in patient CT scans from 17:00 to 20:00 and 8:00 to 9:00 on weekdays and 8:00 to 18:00 on weekends.
