About the role

As an ICT Infrastructure Engineer working in a busy 3rd-line team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing the Group’s IT infrastructure across multiple sites. You’ll be responsible for ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience for staff and students, supporting major IT projects, and collaborating with key departments to deliver effective IT solutions.

The role demands strong technical expertise in server and network technologies, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery planning, along with a proactive approach to improving systems and services in line with industry standards.


About the person

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT professional with a minimum Level 5 qualification (HNC/HND or higher) in a relevant field, ideally complemented by a degree and ongoing CPD.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows-based server environments, disaster recovery, cloud and network infrastructures, cybersecurity, and software deployment.

Experience in project management, GDPR compliance, and working with large-scale LAN/WAN/cloud networks is essential.

Desirable skills include scripting, infrastructure automation, and familiarity with Microsoft Teams Telephony and SQL Server. Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning.
